FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much do you charge?

Fees are on a sliding scale between £60-£90 per session.

  • How many sessions do I need?

Counselling can be long or short term; it can be just a few weeks or open-ended.

  • How do I know if it is for me?

After the initial session, you will have an idea of what is involved and whether we can work together. I am happy to answer any questions you may have and you are under no obligation to commit to any further sessions.

  • Are therapy sessions confidential?

I understand how important it is for you to be able to speak freely about your thoughts and feelings. Client identity and everything that is spoken about during sessions is completely confidential.

  • How often do I come to counselling?

A regular weekly session is the best way of sustaining and building on the work we are doing.

  • What if I want to finish my therapy?

We will agree to a block of sessions, but will check-in regularly to ensure that we are concentrating on the issues that matter to you. Typically we will work for between 12-20 sessions with some clients requiring more or less time. You are free to end your therapy when you are ready.
